WhatsApp Web is the web client of WhatsApp that you can access from the internet. With WhatsApp Web, you can use your WhatsApp account on your PC or Tablet and use WhatsApp to send and receive messages.
Connecting to the WhatsApp is easy and all you need to do is scan the QR code from your mobile device and you’re good to go. However, sometimes due to some phone connection issues or computer connection issues, you are unable to use WhatsApp Web to send and receive messages.
If you are facing the issue of not being able to access WhatsApp Web then here are a few things that you can do.
Mobile Phone Issues
The first thing that you should do is check for phone connection issues because your session on WhatsApp Web is an extension of WhatsApp on your mobile. When you log in to the WhatsApp Web then you need to scan the QR code and once you do so, all the messages from your phone are synced to WhatsApp Web and you are able to see the messages on both the devices.
The first requirement is that you need to be able to use WhatsApp on your mobile device because as mentioned earlier, your session on WhatsApp Web is just an extension of WhatsApp on your mobile. So, if you are not able to connect to WhatsApp on your mobile phone and send & receive messages then you will not be able to use WhatsApp Web.
Make sure that your account is functional and your mobile phone is connected to an active internet connection. An active internet connection on your mobile phone is a must, without which you will not be able to use the WhatsApp Web even if your PC is connected to the Internet.
If WhatsApp seems to be working fine on your mobile phone then there is some connection issue on your PC.
Computer Connection Issue
Just as it is mandatory to have an active internet connection on your mobile phone, it is also necessary to have an active internet connection on your PC too, in order to use WhatsApp Web.
If you have an active internet connection on your mobile phone and not on PC then you won’t be able to use WhatsApp Web. If your internet connection is working just fine and still you’re not able to use WhatsApp Web then you should refresh the page. If the problem still persists then you should log out of WhatsApp Web and log in again.
Log Out of your active WhatsApp Web session and then log in again by scanning the QR Code. You can log out from an active WhatsApp Web session directly from WhatsApp Web.
On PC, Click on the Menu icon and then click on Log Out. You will be now logged out of the active session. Now, log in again and see if you are still facing the issue. The issue will most likely be resolved.
Also, make sure that you are using the latest version of the web browser. Supported browsers for WhatsApp include Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari or Edge. Older browsers such as Internet Explorers are not supported
